Dual Enrollment Scholarship - Kona

Background:

Today’s employers demand a highly educated work force.  A 4 year college degree is key in meeting this demand.

High school students who prepare for the college experience with dual enrollment will be better prepared and will expend less investment in both time and money than those HS graduates who do not dual enroll.

Numerous dual enrollment studies have shown a long list of positive effects on student outcomes and abilities as a college student.   You are referred to, for example, a study conducted by Colorado Department of Higher Education (Colorado Department of Higher Education, (2014). The Effects of Concurrent Enrollment on the College-Going and Remedial Educational Rates of Colorado’s High School Students. Retrieved from Colorado Department of Higher Education Website: https://highered.colorado.gov/academics/concurrent/ConcurrentEnrollmentEffectsAnalysis_2014.pdf).
